Most of
our large projects ship by FEDEX Freight, due to size and weight, and
take up to 7 business days to arrive, depending which side of the country
you are on. Cost also varies, for the same reason. We will give you
a shipping quote based on size of the item, weight, value and your location
prior to processing your order. We use FEDEX for shipping smaller items.
A few items, such as mailboxes, have a fixed shipping cost regardless
of where you are. We will contact you about a week before shipping to
verify shipping information and make final payment arrangements. Due
to limited space, we must ship projects upon completion. Please inspect
your shipment immediately upon arrival, writing a note for any damage
or suspected damage. If you have special site conditions that prevent
large trucks from delivering at your location or dont have forklifts
or extra people to unload your crate, please let us know so we can make
special arrangements.
FREIGHT DAMAGE
We are almost as proud of our packing as we are of our completed projects.
In most cases, we build our own plywood crates. Although our experience
has been that damage is a rare occurrence, some of our projects are
fragile and occasionally even a well protected item gets banged up in
transit. Please inspect you shipment immediately upon arrival. If your
merchandise has been damaged, report to the freight company immediately
and to Archive Designs within 24 hours of the delivery. If you do not
inform the shipper/deliverer in writing and as soon as possible they
may not accept your claim. Please hold the package and contents in the
condition in which they were received, until inspection has been made.
Do not return shipment to us until instructed to do so. We will do everything
possible to assist you in your claim against the freight company, but
we are not responsible for loss or damage after the item is out of our
possession. We will make every effort to help the repair or replacement
process be as timely and painless as possible.
RUSH ORDERS
If priority shipping (Next Day or 2nd day) isnt enough to get
the arrival date closer to when you need it, we have a "Rush Order"
system to accommodate your situation without treating our other clients
unfairly. Rushing an order through the crafting process without compromising
the quality of the product or disturbing the normal flow of business
costs us in overtime labor and special handling. So, depending on our
current schedule, we can offer to cut our CURRENT production turnaround
time in half for an additional 25% of order total. Please call to discuss
current schedule. You may also add priority shipping for an even sooner
arrival date. Please call for current schedule and a priority shipping
quote.
